Sustainable Education in Disaster Situations Workshop Held
With the contributions of the IZTECH Education Commission, the 8th Education Workshop was held online with the theme of “Sustainable Education in Disaster Situations”.
The workshop began with the opening speeches of Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Gamze Tanoğlu and Education Commission Chair Prof. Dr. Sacide Alsoy Altınkaya. The first presentation of the workshop was made by Kadir Has University Rector Prof. Dr. Sondan Durukanoğlu Feyiz with her presentation titled “A Different Perspective on University Education: Kadir Has University Example”. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Altuğ Kasalı, who made the last speech of the first session, informed the participants on the subject of “Transformation in Architectural Education After Earthquakes”.
In the second session, after Psychologist Gizem Şahan’s presentation titled “Psychosocial Support in the Post-Disaster Period”, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zümrüt Gedik, Faculty Member of the İKÇÜ Psychology Department, provided information on how the education process should proceed with her presentation titled “Education Process in the Post-Disaster Period”. The workshop ended with a closing session.
