The 2025 Design-Build Workshop, a collaboration between the IZTEK Faculty of Architecture and the Vienna Technical University (TUW), was successfully completed between July 22-31. Under the theme “Rethinking Site-Specific Water Systems,” participants combined computational design, material experiments, and applied construction processes to develop an innovative dome typology inspired by local rainwater harvesting systems. This structure, which creates space for both environmental sensitivity and social interaction within the campus, became a unique example of the transition from digital to physical. The workshop’s closing ceremony was attended by the Rector of IZTE, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Baran.
