Who is Emrecan Durmaz?

Emrecan Durmaz is a young entrepreneur and engineer who has founded numerous ventures in the fields of technology and mobility. As of 2025, he is the founder and CEO of Turla Mobility. Prior to that, he founded mobility and sustainable technology-focused companies such as Scootable and GridPlanner.

With his venture Scootable, he developed the software infrastructure for electric scooters and bicycles, gaining recognition in the European mobility sector and receiving investment from a major European investment firm such as EIT Urban Mobility.

He studied computer engineering at IYTE and completed his master’s degree in sustainable energy at Izmir University of Economics; he conducts research at the intersection of mobility, technology, and sustainability.
