IZTECH Rector Baran Visited MIT Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research
The Rector of İzmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH), Prof. Dr. Yusuf Baran, visited the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). During his visit, Rector Baran met with Institute Director Prof. Dr. Matthew Vander Heiden and faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ömer Yılmaz to discuss potential collaborations between the two institutions.
The Koch Institute conducts research aimed at understanding the genetic and molecular bases of cancer, examining how changes in cellular processes affect cell growth and behavior, and exploring immune system development and antigen recognition.
This visit is part of IZTECH’s goal to strengthen international collaborations in cancer research and contribute to the scientific community through advanced research in this field.
