The Foundation of IT Valley Izmir was Laid with a Ceremony
The foundation of the IT Valley Izmir, declared by the Presidential Decree, was laid at a ceremony attended by the Last Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Binali Yıldırım, the Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank and the Governor of Izmir Yavuz Selim Köşger.
Speaking at the ceremony where many important names from the private sector to the academy, from the public sector to politics came together, Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Baran said, “In order to properly fulfill the mission we have undertaken in the economic development of our country with the information technologies we produce, our education, science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem that we have created together with Teknopark İzmir in our Institute, is the Information Valley, the twin brother of our Teknopark İzmir, which we are meeting here today to lay the foundations of.” It becomes even stronger with Izmir. “I hope that IT Valley Izmir will be beneficial to our country, our nation and our heartland.” said.
