IZTECH's Efforts to Promote Conservation and Sustainable Utilisation of the Land
IZTECH has one of the largest campus areas in Türkiye. The building footprint is 202226 m2 as shown in the picture below. This total number is given by the Directorate of Construction and Technical Works of IZTECH. The total area of IZTECH campus is 25 million m2. Therefore, IZTECH campus’ construction ratio is < 1%.
Due to the Aegean climate pine forests, olive trees and citrus trees are found naturally in the campus. The lack of rain for about 5 months during the spring and summer has a negative impact on the growing behavior of forests. Total forest area: 11,390,173 m2.
IZTECH also conducts landscaping activities in order to maximize water conservation and land allocation.
