SUSTAINABILITY

The         Sustainable         Green         Campus         Coordinatorship         at         IZTECH (https://surdurulebilir.iyte.edu.tr/en/) supports and oversees all activities related to waste minimization                            on       campus.       The       Directive       (https://surdurulebilir.iyte.edu.tr/wp- content/uploads/sites/159/2020/06/Yönerge.pdf) states that waste minimization is one of its aims. Also IZTECH endorses sustainability efforts in its 2019-2023 Strategic Plan (https://strateji.iyte.edu.tr/wp-content/uploads/sites/108/2019/10/İYTE-Stratejik-Plan-2019- 2023.pdf).

• IZTECH, being a state university, is currently using the Electronic Document Management System, which has been established by all state offices by government

• IZTECH has built several drinking water fountains on campus to provide free drinking water for all, hence reducing the consumption of plastic

• IZTECH has distributed glass water bottles to students on the orientation day in order to reduce single-use

• IZTECH follows the national legislation on restriction of single-use plastic bags.
