Goal 1: No Poverty

The İzmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH) demonstrates a strong commitment to ending poverty through various research initiatives, educational programs, and community outreach projects. With a focus on sustainable development and social responsibility, IZTECH actively works to address poverty-related challenges by promoting equitable access to quality education, advancing technological solutions for social issues, and fostering economic opportunities for underprivileged communities. The institution encourages its students and faculty to engage in interdisciplinary research that targets poverty alleviation, from renewable energy solutions that reduce living costs to innovative agricultural techniques that ensure food security. IZTECH’s partnerships with local and international organizations further enhance its impact, as the institute collaborates to implement real-world solutions aimed at uplifting vulnerable populations and creating long-term socio-economic benefits. Through these efforts, IZTECH strives not only to empower individuals but also to contribute to Turkey’s and the global community’s progress toward a world free from poverty.
