Izmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH) received the “Honorable Mention” in the “Student Promotion Campaign of the Year” category at THE Awards Asia 2023.

The results of THE Awards Asia 2023, presented by Times Higher Education (THE), a renowned international rating platform based in London that aims to recognize outstanding leadership and institutional performance among higher education institutions, were announced at a ceremony held in Hong Kong.

Izmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH), which was a finalist in the categories of “Leadership and Management Team of the Year” and “Promotional Campaign for Students of the Year” at THE Awards Asia 2023, made Turkey proud once again by receiving the Honorable Mention Award in the category of “Promotional Campaign for Students of the Year”.

Last year, at THE Awards Asia 2022, IZTECH became the first university to be shortlisted in two categories and bring the “Internationalization Strategy of the Year Award” to Turkey. This year, it achieved great success by receiving an honorable mention in the Student Promotion Campaign of the Year Award category.

IZTECH competed with prestigious universities from countries such as Japan, China, Hong Kong, Pakistan and India in the category in which it received an award for the successful promotional campaign it has carried out in recent years.

Attending the ceremony held in Hong Kong, IZTECH Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Baran emphasized in his statement after the Honorable Mention Award that intensive efforts have been made at the university for IZTECH to become increasingly stronger in the international arena; “Our aim is to position our Institute as the technology base of Turkey on the one hand, and to be a pioneer in science and technology, original in education, and a respected research university in the world on the other. In this direction, we work together with our faculty members, administrative staff, students, stakeholders and other members of our university community to achieve and sustain excellence in the fields of education, science, research, innovation and social contribution. We were also in cooperation with all our levels in line with the same goal in our Student-Oriented Promotion Campaign of the Year, which is the category in which we received the Honorable Mention Award. Thanks to the strategies we have determined and implemented, our Institute has increased not only by being preferred by the best students but also its recognition in the national and international arena.” Rector Baran continued his speech as follows: “We value the ideas and perspectives of each of our members at our university, and we work with common sense to ensure that our university achieves its goals. I am sure that seeing our efforts rewarded and appreciated has made all members of our university as proud as I am.
