Dormitory Opportunity for IYTE Female Students

Turkey’s Technology Base Izmir High Technology Institute (IYTE) signed a protocol with Koruncuk Foundation to provide dormitories for female students. Nine km from IYTE Campus. Barbaros Village Koruncuk Foundation Urla Campus, located at a distance, will now provide accommodation for IYTE female students.

While accommodation is one of the biggest problems of students who will receive higher education away from their homes, IZTECH has been making important strides to meet the housing needs of its students with the projects it has been carrying out recently.

In this context, as a result of the cooperation with the Koruncuk Foundation in Barbaros Village, the buildings belonging to the high school students in the campus belonging to the Koruncuk Foundation were rented on behalf of the IYTE Foundation. Immediately after obtaining the relevant permits and completing the renovations, the facilities will begin accepting female students. Shuttle service will also be provided for students to reach the campus safely and quickly.

Stating that they have been working intensively to improve the accommodation opportunities of IYTE students since the moment he took office, Rector Baran made the following statements about the cooperation: “Within the scope of increasing the accommodation opportunities of our institute students, the construction process of a dormitory belonging to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Credit and Dormitories Institution in our campus area and project work for two dormitories continues. Our goal is to complete these processes within this year. In addition, we cooperate with different institutions and I am happy to say that one of the studies we carried out has been concluded today. In this context, as IYTE Foundation, we rented a part of the campus belonging to the Koruncuk Foundation in Barbaros Village, nine km away from our campus, to serve our female students. We aim to obtain the relevant permits quickly, complete the improvements we have planned in these buildings by the beginning of the semester, and accept students. I hope that this initiative will be beneficial and auspicious for my dear students and all parties.”

Regarding the agreement made after Rector Baran, Koruncuk Foundation Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Board of Directors Atty. Dr. Figen Samuray: “As you know, our foundation, with its new vision, becomes a home for girls at secondary and secondary education (high school) level who are disadvantaged in terms of accessing their basic needs and education as a result of their social, economic and geographical conditions. Every project we do, every signature we make, is to touch the lives of more girls and to provide them with higher quality services. We always emphasize how important a safe home is for our girls, and it is great for us to provide this with Izmir Institute of Technology (IYTE). happiness. We hope that IYTE female students will be role models for our Koruncuks in the same campus and will teach them to stand on their feet and learn. Our children will have the opportunity to benefit from IYTE’s social activities within the framework of the cooperation. May this cooperation be beneficial to our Foundation and Izmir Institute of Technology. As Koruncuk Foundation, we are happy to contribute to the dormitory needs of female university students.” said.
