Providing Affordable Housing for Employees
IZTECH has affordable housing for staff on campus. Every year the vacancies are formally announced and a snapshot of the available units at the beginning of 2021 are seen below:

The principles for the allocation, and renting of staff housing is outlined in university legislations(https://iyte.edu.tr/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/İYTE-Konut-Tahsis- Yönergesi.pdf). The evaluations for housing application take various factors into consideration including contributions to IZTECH and academic output. Applications are completed on the website: (https://lojman.iyte.edu.tr/doku.php). To put things in context, the university staff housing costed ~500 TRY/month while the nearby non-university housing rental started at 6000 TRY/month.
