European Researchers’ Night

The European Researchers’ Night is a Marie Sklodowska Curie (MSCA) action, under the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020; it consisted of a pan-European event taking place on Friday 24, September 2021. European Researchers’ Night (NIGHT) aims to bring researchers closer to the general public and to increase awareness of research and innovation activities, with a view to supporting the public recognition of researchers, creating an understanding of the impact of researchers’ work on citizen’s daily life, and encouraging young people to embark on research careers.

The European Researchers’ Night activities which took place at Izmir Institute of Technology were free and open to the public. Scientists and researchers from a wide range of disciplines created workshops, seminars, demonstrations, hands-on experiments, games, competitions, shows, or simulations.
